What is UMA ?
UMA is a decentralized financial contracts platform powered by an oracle mechanism with economic guarantees. UMA aims to enable universal market access with two core components: an oracle mechanism with economic guarantees to prove the data input of a smart contract cannot be manipulated for profit and self-enforcing contract design patterns. You can use the UMA Synthetic token builder to design ERC20 tokens that can track the price of anything. Building a financial contract requires the deposit of collateral, or "margin". UMA protocol has issued the UMA token for community governance. There's a [bug bounty program](https://docs.umaproject.org/dev-ref/bug-bounty/) for UMA. Latest [public audit reports](https://blog.openzeppelin.com/uma-audit-phase-3/) are provided by OpenZepplin.
